Here are some video's that are inspiring our music video, the first one from a Thai advert, showing the famous Thai Boxer- Buakaw, who can cut a tree down with his Muay Thai kicks. This video is similar to the idea that Leanne was mentioning in the vlog, and I think it will be a really good idea.
The second video is from Maroon 5's music video - One More Night, which features main singer Adam Levine participating in a boxing match. The third is a promo video for a fighter.
All the video's use slow motion and brilliant angles, which we would like to replicate in our music video.

EUAN BAKER!!!
WELL... I love his music video! So simple but beautiful, I think I have already posted it in a previous post, however, after sieving through more video's to my luck (and happiness) I found he has also made an extended version !!
And the description he goes into more detail about what is being portrayed in the music video!! The start speaking reminds me a bit of like one of the monologues at the start of Lana Del Ray or Taylor Swift (I knew you were trouble) video's! I have looked at Baker's other video's on his You tube Channel and his professionalism definitely is a theme which runs through his work and the elegance to his shots really shows! If our music video needs to be like any ones, I hope ours looks at clean and professional as his does!!
... You Go Euan Baker !

Miley vs. Rihanna !
Well... What can I say?! Both of them are bad but of course Rihanna is worse, no argument about it, However, Rihanna has been know as trouble for years since her 'Good girl gone Bad'-2007- phase and transformation, so it's been years of her outlandish behaviour, minimal clothing and provocative video's, so 'Pour it up' is no surprise to me at all. Rihanna has always been know to grind and jirate on things and people for years... Look at her 'rude boy' video or her 'You da One' video, you know it's not that much of a shock that she's come out with this video to be quite fair. She walks around the place half naked in the first place, doing god knows what so not many were shocked by Rihannas video, if you weren't shocked at the song 'S&M' song and video, I don't see much reason to be shocked at this one. Apparently the song 'We can't stop' was originally meant for Rihanna any ways, Again no surprise there! Rihanna has also NEVER appealed to the young teen market e.g 11-15 like Miley has, and Rihanna genre is very sexualised in the first place, not saying that I think its acceptable but just listen to Kelly Rowlands song-'Kisses down Low' or Ciara's 'Body Party'. The music video's however all suit the lyrics of the song as well as the genre, she makes money to entertain not influence.
In miley's case she has been seen as 'the good girl' for years, then one day she cuts her hair and that's it, twerking, naked music video, licking hammers and the best part getting Terry Richardson to direct it as well as having a provocative photoshoot with him! He isn't exactly known as a trustworthy person around young girls. Also there is an age difference between Miley (20) and Rihanna (25) Miley isn't even allowed to legally drink in America yet and Hannah Montana only finished 2 years ago. I feel like Miley is trying to hard to just put on a show to rebel against her parents, Disney and her ex-fiancé where as Rihanna is has built up her brand slowly to be outrageous and rude, replying rudely to rude comments on twitter and Instagram and not afraid to voice her opinions because its just how Rihanna has marketed herself, where as Miley is trying to prove a point that's she's not innocent and young any more. Lady Gaga is just as outrageous as Miss Cyrus but she has a true artist flare about her and can always clearly justify why she does the things she does unlike Miley. Again I seem like I'm on the 'I can't stand Miley' campaign but I do really like her songs it's her attitude and her music videos.
Rihannas genres are R&B,Pop, Reggae, Hip Hop and Dance, she notes Madonna, Bob Marley, Whitney Huston and Janet Jackson as influences.
Mileys genres focus on mainly, Pop, Country and dance however her recent genre change is now a mix of all with addition to R&B and Hip Hop, which is quite a change. Her influences started off as Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff (A fellow Disney star), Kelly Clarkson, Britany Spears and Dolly Parton, However, It has all changed to French Montanna, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa and Adele.
Now I'm not at all justifying Rihanna's actions as acceptable and saying Miley's is not, I'm personally stating that Rihanna's actions in her new video are all common and not out of nature of Rihanna, where as Miley's are slightly out of character especially starting after her parents got a divorce and her relationship was on the rocks. I think both videos are inappropriate but the standards of vulgarity have gone down and people are now aloud to do what they want and show what they want, when they want, and that's just our society today unfortunately.
Now some would argue, this is all because of men views and they are all just as bad as each other because of men causing them to be portrayed as sexual objects in the world of media, However, none of these women were forced to do these things in the videos, none has been forced to dress provocatively, dance provocatively or be outrageous and controversial they have made the choice to, and therefore its just human behaviours in the wrong NOT a gender.
I really like Miley's songs and I'm more disappointed that her video couldn't be more meaningful for such a powerful song. Rihanna's song is about strippers, so no surprise the video features pole dancers, which are usually associated with stripping although times have changed and is no also a good exercise workout. But Hannah Montana always had a good moral at the end of her episode and so did everyone of miley's song's before this year, accompanied by a suited video. I feel disappointed that she needed to show off her body and be looked upon as a sexual object, and change so drastically to be noticed or recognised, I see it as a cry for help to be honest. I say keep making brilliant songs but please higher your standards, your a pretty girl who could do so much more with your videos. Words to Rihanna, don't change, cause I know you don't care for people's opinions at all and won't change. I expect this degrading behaviour from Rihanna but not Miley, she is better than that.
Word of advice for future Musicians, Music video directors, A2 Media Students and My group, Let's not sexualise anyone in any way to gain popularity, money or prove a point ! This will be the last post I do on Miley Cyrus because I have said all that I needed to say.
Here are both videos WARNING: Quite explicit for both. and here are some comments from the pour it up video.
Well Miley no longer lets people Embed the video so here is the link instead:

Beautiful song, pretty girl not so good video and personally it would have been A LOT more powerful with just the close-up shot of her for the whole song, Sinead O'Conner did it and it looked brill !
Okay well Rihanna also doesn't let people embed the video (maybe its stupid VEVO !!!!) so again here is the link:

Very tacky, very sexual, Not a good message at all and I don't condone the video, but its Rihanna being Rihanna and the song goes with the lyrics not going to lie.
Even though I have just watched Miley's new video, with Wiz Khalifa, juicy J etc. I am going to lay this debate to rest. And the main thing is we are not going to be using any tips at all from Rihanna or Miley in our music video which we will be updating you on soon.

Shots!
There have been some shots that I have seen and loved and thought would be perfect for our film as well as editing technique. One of which is called 'stuck in motion' (click on this link to go to a website explaining how to create it) which I really like because it is as if the people are somehow frozen in time. I also found this video that has really slow and fast motion shots...
Ewelina Lisowska - Aero-Plan II trailer - dir cut from Dariusz Szermanowicz on Vimeo.
I also found this website that is really good on explaining how to get the best slow motion based on objects, which I find really useful, as we wanted to incorporate a lot of slow motion to our music video.

Although, this is not too relevant, I also found this sad but cute video of these Bunny's (not real), and as Leanne and Hannah have Rabbits and Love them, this video is for them to be honest. However, in a way it is an example of an obscure music video using Stop motion!

Permission!
This is the E-mail we sent to Polydor records asking if we were allowed to use the Swedish House Mafia song, We were going to send it directly to Swedish house Mafia themselves, but unfortunately they have split up :( However we have informed them that it solely for educational purposes and we will not be selling the music video afterwards.
Lyrics - Swedish House Mafia!
We chose this song because we felt it related more to our storyline than the others did, regardless it being a male singer.
"Save The World"
(feat. John Martin)
Into the streets
We’re coming down
We never sleep
Never get tired
Through urban fields
And suburban lights
Turn the crowd up now
We’ll never back down
Shoot down the skyline
Watch it on primetime
Turn up the love now
Listen up now, turn up the love
Who’s gonna save the world tonight?
Who’s gonna bring it back to life?
We’re gonna make it, you and I
We’re gonna save the world tonight
It’s far from home,
It’s for the better
What we dream, it’s all that matters
We’re on our way, united
Turn the crowd up now
We’ll never back down
Shoot down the skyline
Watch it on primetime
Turn up the love now
Listen up now, turn up the love
Who’s gonna save the world tonight,
Who’s gonna bring it back to life
We’re gonna make it, you and I,
We’re gonna save the world tonight.
Who’s gonna save
Who’s gonna bring
We’re gonna make it, you and I,
Who’s gonna save
Who’s gonna bring
We’re gonna save the world tonight.

A change! Song ideas and Song choice!
Well no longer like our old idea as it doesn't give us the inspiration that we need for making a music video, so we have decided to change our idea, we first thought of making a parody video, however we no longer like that idea and it has now changed, however first we must choose a good song that suits the video.
In this prezi there are some song ideas I liked and the song we chose in the end... it might be a surprise to you!
